CashCrate
Today I will be detailing with you my experiences with CashCrate. Now, if you've never heard of CashCrate.com before, allow me to explain it to you(if you have feel free to skip to the next paragraph). CashCrate is a free to register site where you complete offers, surveys, and other miscellaneous things for money. If you are a cash strapped college student, this could be a good way to pull in an extra $20-30 a month, or if you wanna get hardcore about it, $200. The only way to probably get up to $200 is probably to do the more serious trial offers, which means using your credit/debit card to sign up for a trial offer from a site. But whether you're doing it seriously or for a bit of extra cash, it is legit.
Now, onto my experience.
I first found out and sign up with CashCrate a month ago. Since then I have made $23.605 from doing free offers. My paranoia is what keeps me from trying out the trial offers, which can pay $5 to $20, and the "download and install this toolbar/game". Another thing that keeps me from doing the trial offers is that I'm fairly forgetful and my checking account couldn't afford such a blunder.
The pros of a site like CashCrate are obvious. You get money for signing up with random sites, newsletters, and you know those annoying ads that promise you a $1000 gift card to Target and where ever else? Yeah, you end up willingly signing up for those too.
Which is what prompted me to make a extra email just for all of those wonderful spam-a-licious offers.
Now, before you go off thinking CashCrate is just plain awesome, I'm going to introduce you to the cons I have found during my past month. My first grievance is that some of the offers never go through. No matter how correctly you complete it, you do not get paid for it. Which can be annoying to no end, not to mention a major time waster since there's no real way to tell whether or not you will get paid. Secondly, you pretty much have to clear your cookies after EACH offer. Or else any ones after your last one won't go through. So that means signing back in many times in one session. My last serious problem, the fact that if I want to complete an offer that is being offered by another offer I've completed(enough offers for you?) I need to use another new and valid email address. Which can get very tiring after awhile.
All of
that sounds terrible. But it is a good site and even has some pretty fun
features. One of these features are the game tournaments for points,
which you can eventually redeem for prizes. I believe you can get points
by doing point offers OR doing 2 cash offers get you one point.
Overall, this is an okay site to make some side cash. It's not in my top 5 sites to make money online, but it is bearable. And chances are if you're doing paid surveys and CashCrate for money, you probably can't afford to be very choosy.
Just remember to always clear your cookies after each offer. It'll save you a lot of effort for nothing.
